in situ electronics and analog artifacts from khalija records and the wulf. berlin-based sound artist pierce warnecke makes a rare california appearance in support of his new khalija c30 + vhs box set “textures”, composed and assembled in residency at ausland. joining him are the duo of scott cazan &wyatt penn keusch, a solo performance by casey anderson and a set by mike winter.

Tempwerks (Casey Anderson, Scott Cazan, Isaac Schankler, and Andrew Tholl) is an ensemble originally created by composer Arthur Jarvinen for the performance of his musical compositions in the realm of live electronics, using “non-musical” devices such as Geiger counters, short wave radios, amplified strobe lights, and field recordings. This concert features the LA premiere of multiple works by Jarvinen, presented alongside the early electronic music of JOHN CAGE and new original works by Tempwerks members.
