water yam/two signs
I was recently asked to contribute realizations of pieces from “water yam,” by george brecht, for a project (not sure if they have officially announced this yet, so ill just leave it at that…). I am currently working on preparing numerous realizations of “two signs” (reads as follows: two signs / silence / no vacancy ) across multiple types of media (photo, audio, wall-hanging).
OPEN CALL: I am looking for pictures that somehow fulfill the score (see above), potentially ranging from literal interpretations (a sign with the word “silence” on it, the bottom of a hotel sign reading “no vacancy”), to something more metaphorical (blank billboard, nothing, etc.). The only rule is that you have to take it yourself (honors-system going on here), and, as much as possible, the “sign” (whatever it ends up being) should take up the entirety of the image. I need these by 3/26, and you can just submit them to me via email.
